Considering that France has never been the High Energy Rock 'N' Roll Mecca -  notable exceptions would be Little Bob Story, Ganafoul, Soggy, Wild Child, the Ashtones and Zoe... - it is only fair to give credits to a band sticking to the winning no bullshit recipe: Motörhead, Ramones, Detroit bands, Australian groups, hardcore punk, good old rootsy rock ’n’ roll, mean and dirty blues rock and there you go! Check their first album here on the Junkie Business Youtube channel, which specialises in High Energy stuff, and their second album here on the same channel. I first heard about them on ChrisGoesRock's blog here. Their production includes an EP and two albums available on the band's bandcamp. This homemade live boot comes from a video available here. I am still working on the tracklist and illustrations. The Chris Rolling Squad are definitely a band to follow and support.

Hell Crab City - Last bash with drummer Brad - Full Set

 A fabulous Australian band - yep, another one - that I unfortunately discovered much too late... The number of bands in which Leif Alan Creed has played is simply mind-blowing! Aberration, Hey! Charger, Hell Crab City, East Cost Low... and the list goes on... Leif Alan Creed's guitar work is simply phenomenal. This homemade bootleg (converted from the video) is my modest tribute to this great band and particularly to the memory of Scott Barker (R.I.P.). The Birdhouse - The Devil Looks After His Own:(A BLack Lodge Relics Compilation): expanded artwork

 I had wanted to do this for quite a while (actually, as soon as I spotted this beauty on Nik's blog!) for several reasons: 1 - I'm a huge fan of the Birdhouse. At the time, a new record from them truly was an event. 2 - All my vinyl records are out of reach. 3 - I thought they were pretty original among the large number of Stooges-influenced bands, the guitar tones, in particular. 4 - I always thought The Birdhouse  rightfully deserved  recognition, which they sadly never actually did. So, in short, kudos to Nik for this great compilation of their first mini LP Burnin' Up and album Meglamania. Get it here now while you still can!
