Why this blog?

As stated above, this blog is aimed at the rock and roll enthusiast, with no further ambition than to provide lovingly homemade artwork for bootleg recordings of bands that I particularly enjoy. Considering that I have no recordings to share, this is my modest contribution to the bootleggers’ community, a bunch of great people - except the occasional cunt here and there - who share live music for the sake of it. When possible, I may offer two versions: one - theoretically - made to accurate dimensions and destined to be printed and the other, just to look good on your computer. I usually start with an illustration - often an official band picture - as relevant to the time period of the recording in question as possible. Then there’s the setlist, checked for accuracy. Let’s not forget spelling. Any other illustration such as tour poster, concert picture, flyer, concert ticket, ad, and announcement is a plus. What can be fun - or dreadfully frustrating - is the hunt for the accurate font used for the band logo and album title. These covers are handmade with my computer, using limited resources and skills, mainly an old program called Paint. Enjoy!
